 Nonconformances Found in the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the
 Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake

 Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the Inspection
 and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake", the Tokyo
 Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing
 incidents information reported from May 8th to May 14th, 2008.

○ Incidents Information (relating to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake)
Incidents Information (relating to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake)
<Reports from May 8 to May 14, 2008>
Reports from May 8 to May 14, 2008
○ Other Findings • Information on Nonconformances (those related to: the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake; Grades As, A, B, C, D; and non-graded)
* Numbers were corrected to reflect elimination of incidents that were later found to have been unrelated to the earthquake (4 cases) and not applicable as nonconformance (1 case). • Unit No.7: Partial breakages were found on forks of 2 rotor blades on the turbine-side of 14th stage of the low-pressure turbine (B) and (C). Investigation of the causes and detailed inspection are going on (announced on March 13th, March 19th, March 27th, April 3rd, April 10th, April 17th and May 8th, 2008). No damage was found based on non-destructive inspection for forks of 252 rotor blades of 15th stage of the low-pressure turbine (B) (126 blades each on generator-side and turbine-side). Investigation on the cause of the damages and the indications on the forks of rotor blades will be continued. Visual inspection and non-destructive inspection for forks of rotor blades on the 15th and 16th stage of the low-pressure turbine (A) and (C), both of which have the same structure as those forks of rotor blades on the 14th stage, will also be conducted. As for unit No.6, visual inspection and non-destructive inspection for forks of rotor blades on the 14th stage of the low-pressure turbine (A), (B) and (C) and forks of rotor blades on the 15th and 16th stage of the low-pressure turbine (B) will be conducted.
