Status of the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (as of November 26)
We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and nonconformances 
at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake.

We sincerely apologize for causing anxiety to local residents due to the fire that 
broke out at the turbine building of TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station 
Unit No. 3 on November 19.  
With regard to this fire, we received a request from the Niigata prefecture on November 
19 to report the state of affairs and root cause of the incident.  We also received 
verbal warnings on November 19 from the government, and on November 20 from the fire 
headquarters of Kashiwazaki City, as well as a request to report the cause of this fire 
and recurrence prevention measures.  
We sincerely acknowledge the requests, and will report the root cause.  We will do our 
best to prevent recurrence of fire incidents with cooperating companies.
