Press Release (Jun 30,2011)
Status of Evaluation work of TEPCO employees' Exposure Dose at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (3rd release)
As part of emergency precautions being taken at Fukushima Daiichi
Nuclear Power Station, we have been evaluating the external and
internal exposure doses of each worker who participated in the
emergency work at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.

On June 20, 2011, we have reported the evaluation results of external
exposure doses for workers engaged in emergency work in March to the
Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
In addition, the primary evaluation results*1 of internal exposure
doses for the same workers who have underwent whole-body counter
(hereinafter referred to as "WBC") examination before the end of
June 18 were also reported.
(Previously announced on June 20, 2011)

We hereby notify that we have compiled evaluation results of external
exposure doses for workers engaged in emergency work in April as well
as internal exposure doses for the same workers who have underwent WBC
examination before the end of June 25 as attached, and reported to the
Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare today.

AS for workers whose results of the primary evaluation indicate
significant values*2, we will carry out a reevaluation based on the
exact dates when they took in radioactive materials, which will be
determined at the hearing investigation. In addition, workers whose
results indicate relatively high values will be subject to a more
detailed WBC administered by the Japan Atomic Energy Agency and
National Institute of Radiological Sciences.
End

*1 Primary evaluation regarding internal exposure doses
In case research was not conducted as to when workers took in
radioactive material, the evaluation is conducted tentatively assuming
that each worker absorbed all amounts of radioactive materials only on
the date he started work at the site (March 12, if engaged initially).
The degree of exposure dose is assumed to be the maximum in such case.

*2 Significant value
Around 2 mSv which is the value to be recorded
