Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report 2013

Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report (Apr 26, 2013)Water Leak from the Underground Reservoirs in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (Follow-up Information No.100)

This is follow-up information regarding the water leak from the underground reservoirs at Fukushima Daiichi NPS.

The following is the progress status of the measures to prevent the further leakage of the leaked water accumulated in the leakage detection holes as of today (April 26).

- Underground reservoir No.1
The temporary pump was put in operation three times to return the leaked water accumulated in the leakage detection hole (northeast) to the reservoir.

- Underground reservoir No.2
The temporary pump was put in operation three times to return the leaked water accumulated in the leakage detection hole (northeast) to the reservoir.

- Underground reservoir No.3
The temporary pump was put in operation twice to return the leaked water accumulated in the leakage detection hole (southwest) to the reservoir.

The number of times the temporary pump was put in operation was less than usual as the work was terminated after 2:00 PM due to a thunderstorm advisory.

Since the progress of measures to prevent the expansion of contaminated water leakage from the underground reservoirs is announced on our web page (please visit the following URL), the announcement on the matter via e-mail will no longer be provided.
