Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report 2013

Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report (May 04, 2013)Highly Radioactive Debris Found During the Debris Removal (via Radio Based Heavy Machinery Operation) from the Upper Part of Unit 3 Reactor Building at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (Follow-up Report)

Regarding the highly radioactive debris found during the debris removal from the upper part of Unit 3 Reactor Building, the method of highly radioactive debris removal to be implemented from now on is announced as below.

The highly radioactive debris loaded on the truck (radio based) used for transporting highly radioactive debris has been removed to the temporary space for storing highly radioactive debris located in the south side of Unit 3 Reactor Building.

During the next 5 days or so, along with the highly radioactive debris transportation regularly performed, the highly radioactive debris found is planned to be transported to the solid waste storage located in the north side of the Main Anti-earthquake Building. The debris transportation will be performed while paying careful attention to radiation exposure.
