Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report 2013

This is follow-up information regarding the water leak from the underground reservoirs at Fukushima Daiichi NPS.

The results of sampling performed in the underground reservoirs yesterday (May 21) are as follows.
- Drain holes of the underground reservoirs No.1-7
- Leakage detection holes of the underground reservoirs No.1-4 and 6
- Observation holes of the underground reservoirs (around reservoirs No.1-3): A1-A19
- Observation holes of the underground reservoirs (around reservoir No.6): B1-B3
- Underground bypass investigation holes a-c
- Underground bypass pumping well 1-4
- Observation holes on the sea side (1)-(4)

No significant change was found with the results compared to the previous results obtained on May 20.

All β was detected at the observation hole 2-12 as a result of the water analysis of the newly drilled observation holes (2-9 and 2-12) around the underground reservoir No.2 yesterday.

Analysis of the observation hole 2-10 and 2-11 and reanalysis of the observation hole 2-12 where all β was detected are scheduled today (May 22). (Previously announced)

The results of tritium sampling performed on May 13 and 14 (analysis performed once a week) are as follows.
- Underground bypass investigation holes a-c
- Underground bypass pumping well 1-4
- Observation holes on the sea side (1)-(8)

No significant change was found with the tritium analysis results compared to the previous results.
