Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report (Sep 18, 2013)Steam Found Near the Central Part of the Fifth Floor (Equipment Storage Pool Side) of Unit 3 Reactor Building at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (Follow-up Information 27)

This is a follow-up report on the statuses of steam found wafting through the air near the central part of the fifth floor (equipment storage pool side) of Unit 3 on July 18.

As of the steam coming from near the central part of the fifth floor (equipment storage pool side) of Unit 3, it had been observed by a camera at around 8:00 AM today (on September 18). However, it has not found since around 10:00 AM.

The plant status and the monitoring post readings at present (as of 10:15 AM) are as follows, and no abnormality has been found.

- Reactor water injection, cooling of the spent fuel pool:
Continuing stably
- Monitoring post readings, continuous dust monitor amounts:
No significant change was found
- Temperature of RPV/PCV:
No significant change was found
- Pressure of dry well:
No significant change was found
- Noble gas monitor:
No significant change was found
- Nitrogen injection:
Continuing stably
- Weather condition:
Air temperature 24.0℃, humidity 58.4%
* The weather condition is as of 10:00 AM on September 18.

We will continue to monitor the status closely.
