(Mar 20, 2013)At around 6:57 PM on March 18, there was an incident where the power supply facilities in the Main Anti-earthquake Building at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station momentarily stopped. The updates on the incident are provided below.
As previously announced, at 12:36 PM on March 20, a TEPCO employee found soot at terminals and on a wall in the power panel of the Units 3/4 temporary M/C (A) during the investigation of the power supply facilities failure in Fukushima Daiichi NPS. After that, Futaba Fire Station conducted a site investigation and concluded that it was not fire at1:57 PM.
We will conduct further investigations for this power supply facilities failure, and will announce soon after we find new information.
