From an early stage, TEPCO has actively promoted environmental preservation
as one of its foremost management priorities—including the conservation
of nature, afforestation, prevention of air pollution, protection of water
quality, recycling of industrial waste, and prevention of global warming—on
both a global and local scale. The Company makes continuous efforts to improve
its environmental efforts, which are scrutinized through such publications
as the TEPCO Sustainability Report and other public disclosure activities.
