TEPCO participates in the project on Umm Al Nar Island close to Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the UAE. Arabian Power Company (APC), a project company, acquired thermal power plants with the generation capacity of 850MW and a desalination facility with a daily output of 750,000 tons of water. In addition, APC constructed several new expansion plants with the thermal generation capacity of 1,550MW and a desalination capacity of 110,000 tons of water per day. The new power plant adopts Advanced Combined Cycle (ACC) technology of which TEPCO has extensive operation and maintenance experience. ITM O&M Company Limited is responsible for plant operation and maintenance based on the agreement with APC. |
