Umm Al Nar Power and Water Project, UAE
TEPCO participates in the project on Umm Al Nar Island close to Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the UAE. Arabian Power Company (APC), a project company, acquired thermal power plants with the generation capacity of 850MW and a desalination facility with a daily output of 750,000 tons of water. In addition, APC constructed several new expansion plants with the thermal generation capacity of 1,550MW and a desalination capacity of 110,000 tons of water per day. The new power plant adopts Advanced Combined Cycle (ACC) technology of which TEPCO has extensive operation and maintenance experience. ITM O&M Company Limited is responsible for plant operation and maintenance based on the agreement with APC.
