Requirements from the New Regulatory Requirements: ●Safety functions should not be impaired by the impact of tornadoes.
Actions taken at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station: ●The maximum wind speed of a tornado for design was revised from the standard setting of 76 meters per second to 92 meters per second,
　in consideration of future climate changes.
●Protective measures are being implemented for equipment (reactor building openings, outdoor equipment, etc.)
　that from a design viewpoint will likely be affected by a tornado.
