Nonconformances Found in the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the
  Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake
Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the Inspection
and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake", the Tokyo
Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing
incidents information reported from July 17th to July 23rd, 2008.
 ○ Incidents Information (relating to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake)
< Reports from July 17 to July 23, 2008 >| |
○ Other Findings
   Unit No.6
Visual inspection was conducted for forks of 260 rotor blades on the 16th stage of
   the low-pressure turbine (C) (130 blades each on generator-side and turbine-side).
As a result, no damage was found. Additionally, non-destructive investigation resulted
in indications on the forks of 4 rotor blades on the turbine-side. Indication was not
   found on the generator-side.
While confirming contamination of damaged pallets in the solid waste storage warehouse
to have them stored on site, a minuscule amount of radioactive material -- about 1.4
Becquerel/cm2 -- was found on one of the pallets on July 17, 2008. The pallet has been
covered by a sheet and is stored in the solid waste storage warehouse.| | Appendix: Work Schedule of the Main Inspection/Restoration of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear
