Status of the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (as of December 4th)
We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and nonconformances 
at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake.

We sincerely apologize for having caused anxiety to local residents due to various hazards. 
With regard to the fire that broke out at the turbine building of TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa 
NPS unit No.7 on November 22nd, 2008, the fire headquarters of Kashiwazaki City and the 
Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry have 
instructed TEPCO on November 26th and November 28th, respectively, to revamp our efforts 
to prevent fire hazards from happening.
On December 2nd, the Niigata prefecture has also requested us to reinforce focus on safety 
management in light of the recent fire and injury caused during restoration works.
We sincerely acknowledge the instructions and requests from various institutions and will 
do our best to prevent recurrence of events by increasing the level of safety consciousness 
together with cooperating companies.

Inspection/Restoration Status

     warehouse):

     the roof truss of the reactor building):
