Status of the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (as of May 13)
We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and nonconformances 
at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/Restoration Status 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration completed between April 29 to May 13, 2010 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   - No notable activity during this week. 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between May 14 to May 20, 2010 
    (To be commenced on the following date) 

   - Unit 3 Seismic reinforcement works (Preparation for seismic reinforcement works 
     such as pipe supports): 
       May 17

 ◇ Work Schedule of Major Inspection and Restoration from May 9 to June 5, 2010

   - Work Schedule of the Main Inspection/ Restoration of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear 
     Power Station in Response to the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (during 4 Weeks)

 Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the Inspection and 
 Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake", the Tokyo Electric 
 Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing incidents 
 information reported from April 28 to May 12, 2010.

Other Findings
* After close reexamination of past nonconformance incidents, the total number of those has been corrected to reflect a nonconformance incident that was identified as not related to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake, a nonconformance incident that was identified as related to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake and an incident that was double-counted.
