We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and non conformances 
at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/Restoration Status 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration completed between June 4 to June 10, 2010 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   - Unit 1 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection on raising the reactor 
     pressure to approx. 7.0MPa): 
       June 4

   - Unit 1 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after activating a main 
     turbine generator): 
       June 5 

   - Unit 1 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after temporary main 
     generator synchronization): 
       June 6 

   - Unit 1 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after generating power 
     at approx. 20% of the rated output): 
       June 7 

   - Unit 1 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after generating power 
     at approx. 50% of the rated output): 
       June 9 

   - Unit 4 500kV power cable inspection (Voltage application test): 
       June 4

 ◇ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between June 11 to June 17, 2010 
    (To be commenced on the following date) 

   - Unit 2 Main transformer inspection (Carrying in and installation work): 
       June 15 

   - Unit 2 Seismic reinforcement works (Preparation for seismic reinforcement works 
     for reactor building overhead crane): 
       June 14 

   - Unit 3 Seismic reinforcement works (Seismic reinforcement works such as pipe 
     supports): 
       June 14

 Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing incidents 
 information reported from June 3 to June 9, 2010.

    * After close reexamination of past nonconformance incidents, the total number of 
      those has been corrected to reflect nonconformance incidents that were identified 
      as not related to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (3 cases), and nonconformance 
      incidents that were identified as related to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (2 cases).
