Submission of a Request to Change the Technical Specification for the Nuclear Reactor Facility at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station

We have submitted a request to revise the Technical Specification for the Nuclear Reactor Facility* at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station to the Nuclear Regulation Authority today in order to reflect the actual operation at the station to the technical specification.

Provided below is the outline of the change to be made.

Since the common use diesel generator B system (Unit 2 reactor B system diesel generator) has been recovered and is now on standby as an emergency power supply, provisions on the operation of the diesel generator will be added to the technical specification. The groups/divisions responsible for equipment management will be partially changed according to the progress of the reliability improvement of the external power supply.
