Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report 2013

Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report (Apr 27, 2013)Water Leak from the Underground Reservoirs in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (Follow-up Information No.101)

This is follow-up information regarding the water leak from the underground reservoirs at Fukushima Daiichi NPS.

As a result of sampling performed in the observation holes of the underground reservoirs on April 26, all β with density slightly above the detection limit (2.8x10-2Bq/cm3) was detected in 13 out of 22 observation holes of the underground reservoirs (Max: 4.8×10-2Bq/cm3).

The analysis results are equivalent to those of the drain holes of underground reservoirs No.5 and 7 in which no water is stored. The same water samples will be reanalyzed to reassure the correctness of the results.

Please visit our web page for the sampling results (obtained on April 26, 2013).
