Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report 2013

Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report (Apr 27, 2013)Water Leak from the Underground Reservoirs in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (Follow-up Information No.104)

This is follow-up information regarding the water leak from the underground reservoirs at Fukushima Daiichi NPS.

The results of sampling performed in the observation holes of the underground reservoirs today (April 27) are as follows.

The analysis results obtained yesterday (April 26) indicated that all β with density slightly above the detection limit (2.8x10-2Bq/cm3) was detected in 13 out of 22 (2 out of 22 as a result of reanalysis) observation holes of the underground reservoirs. However, based on the analysis results obtained today (April 27), all β with density exceeding the detection limit (3.2x10-2Bq/cm3) was not detected in any of the observation holes (at 22 locations) of the underground reservoirs.

The water level, etc. of the underground reservoirs will continue to be intensively monitored.
