At around 2:25 AM today (on September 20), there was an earthquake (M5.8) in Hamadori region in Fukushima Prefecture. (Naraha Town: seismic intensity 5 lower, Tomioka Town: seismic intensity 4, Namie Town: seismic intensity 4, Hirono Town: seismic intensity 5 lower, Okuma Town: seismic intensity 4)

As for Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, no abnormality was found on the following facilities/equipments at present.
- Main parameters of Units 1-6: No abnormality found
- Reactor water injection system: No abnormality found
- PCV gas control system: No abnormality found
- Power facilities: No abnormality found
- Nitrogen injection system of Units 1-3: No abnormality found
- Spent fuel pool cooling system: No abnormality found
- Water treatment facilities and accumulated water transfer facilities: No abnormality found
- Monitoring post readings: No abnormality found

No abnormality has been found at Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station.

Patrol is currently under implementation.

We are currently confirming the contaminated water tanks.

No injury has been reported at both power stations.

The maximum seismometer readings observed at Fukushima Daiichi and Daini Nuclear Power Stations are as follows.
- Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station
Horizontal: 41.5 gal (at Unit 6)
Vertical: 20.7 (at Unit 6)

- Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station
Horizontal: 37.4 gal (at Unit 1)
Vertical: 31.1 gal (at Unit 1)
