Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report 2013

Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report (Sep 20, 2013)Water Leak at a Tank in the H4 area in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (Follow-up Information 47)

This is follow-up information on the "water leak at a tank in the H4 area in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station" found on August 19.

The measurement result of all β in a sample newly obtained from the observation hole (E-6) around H4 tank area on September 20 was 46Bq/L.
* The observation hole E-6 is located on the west of the groundwater bypass pumping well No.8.

<Observation hole E-6 (new)>
- Sampled on September 20
All β: 46Bq/L
The measurement result of all β obtained at E-1, E-2, E-3 and E-4 on September 20 had no significant change, compared to the measurement result obtained on September 19.

Based on the possibility of influence on these results by leakage in H4 area tanks and leakage from the concentrated salt water transportation pipe treated with desalination apparatus (reverse osmosis membrane type) on March 26 and April 5 in 2012, we will continue to monitor the situation.
