Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report 2013

Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report (Sep 27, 2013)Water Found Dropping from the Communication Pipe of the Tank J3 and J4 on the Sea Side of Unit 5 and 6

At around 9:52 AM today (on September 27, 2013), an associated company worker, who was on a patrol of the F tank area (north of Unit 6), found water was dripping one drop about every 50 seconds from the heat reserving material of the communication pipe of the tank J3 and J4 (tank J4 side).

Accumulated groundwater of Unit 5, 6 Turbine Building is stored in the tank J3 and J4.

Dropping water remains on the steel plate in the dike at the range of approx. 2.5m x 2.5 m.

As we investigated with the heat reserving material having pulled out from the communication pipe of the tank J3 and J4, no leakage was found.

Therefore, we judged that this dropping water was rainwater or dew condensation water.
