Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report 2013

Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report (Oct 04, 2013)Water Leak at a Tank in the H4 area in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (Follow-up Information 51)

This is follow-up information on the "water leak at a tank in the H4 area in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station" found on August 19.

We analyzed all β in the water obtained at the observation holes (E-1, E-2, E-3, E-4, E-5, E-8, and F-1) on October 3.

The measurement results obtained from the observation holes E-8 and F-1, where we analyzed for the first time, were respectively 17Bq/L and below the detection limit value (the detection limit value for the latter sampling: 17bq/L).
*The observation hole E-8 is located on the east of the observation hole E-5, and the observation hole F-1 is located on the west of the observation hole E-2.

<Observation hole E-8 (new)>
-Sampled on October 3
All β: 17Bq/L

<Observation hole F-1 (new)>
-Sampled on October 3
All β: Below the detection limit value (the detection limit value 17Bq/L)

The measurement results of all β obtained at E-1, E-2, E-3, E-4 , and E-5 had no significant change, compared to the results obtained on October 2.

Based on the possibility of influence on these results by leakage in H4 area tanks and leakage from the concentrated salt water transportation pipe treated with desalination apparatus (reverse osmosis membrane type) on March 26 and April 5 in 2012, we will continue to monitor the situation
