Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report 2013

Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report (Oct 07, 2013)The Suspension of the On-Site Power Supply Facilities (3B) at Fukushima Daiichi NPS

At around 9:47 AM today (on October 7), we found that "the bus voltage low alarm" was activated, and that the on-site common power supply was suspended.

We are now currently examining the following aspects:

<The reactor water injection pump>
- Although the reactor water injection pump (B) of the condensate storage tank (CST) for Unit 1 was suspended, the pump (A) was immediately and automatically activated, and it is currently pumping water into the reactor.

- The reactor water injection pump of the condensate storage tank (CST) for Unit 2 and 3 are in operation. (No influence)

<The alternative spent fuel pool cooling facility>
- At Unit 1 to 4: The alternative spent fuel pool cooling facilities are in operation. (No influence)

- The common pool cooling facility is in operation. (No influence)

<The primary containment vessel gas control system>
- At Unit 1 to 3: The primary containment vessel gas control system is in operation. (No influence)

<The reactor building exhaust installation>
- At Unit 2: The Unit 2 reactor building exhaust fan (B) is suspended, and the fan (A) is prepared to reactivate.

We will report the situation of the unexamined and suspended facilities, and the results of the investigation as soon as we find them. We have found no significance change in monitoring post indicated value, and no casualties.
