Fukushima Daiichi NPS Prompt Report (Oct 01, 2013)Overflow of Water from the Notch Tank Which Locates at the East of the H5 Area Tank and Stores Water inside the Dike at Fukushima Daiichi NPS (Follow-up Information)

This is follow-up information on overflow from the notch tank which locates at the east of the H5 area tank and stores water inside the dike, which was found today (on October 1).

We would like to announce the measurement result of stagnant water inside and around the notch tank.

<Water inside the notch tank>
- All-β: 390Bq/L (by simplified measurement method)
- Cesium-134: 8.0Bq/L
- Cesium-137: 16Bq/L

<Water inside the dike around the notch tank>
- All-β: 380Bq/L (by simplified measurement method)
- Cesium-134: 6.9Bq/L
- Cesium-137: 16Bq/L
