Safety Measures Implementation at Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station

[Status of each unit]

- On Unit 1-4 side (Arahama side), reinforced concrete seawalls are being built at 15m above sea level (approx. 10m above ground).

- On Unit 5-7 side (Ominato side), improved soil seawalls are being built at 15m above sea level (3m above ground).

- For the buildings where critical equipments are installed, measures such as installation of flood barrier panels on the openings and watertight doors are being implemented to improve safety against Tsunami.

- Emergency safety measures such as securing power supply have been implemented for all units.
