Suspension of showing hourly forecast
Thanks for using "Electricity Forecast".
Since last December, the hourly forecast (kW and consumption rate), which is the figure for every hour from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays, has been published. Hourly forecast will be suspended from April 16 to the end of summer, because it has been getting quite spring like recently.
Other data and figures will be continuously shown without any change.
We hope your continuous use of our website.

Track record for the same day last year from March 9th to March 31st
Due to the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, the usage of electricity was different from that for usual years and therefore from today (March 9th) to March 31st we substitute the track record of "the same day last year" of the graph of today's electricity demand with that for "the same day the year before last (2010)".
* For the confirmation of the above-mentioned days, please see the correspondence table of the "the same day last year".

[TEPCO Electricity Forecast - Winter] Decline of temperature and maximum electricity demand forecast
Given the wide spread snowing since early this morning, today's temperatures will be low.
Because of this, today's maximum electricity demand forecast is high.
If you would like to know how we are forecasting the electricity demand or the electricity consumption pattern during wintertime, please refer to "explanation of TEPCO electricity forecast - why the supply capacity fluctuates everyday?" for detail.
We appreciate your continuous support.

Electricity is generated according to the demand
The rate of use of the Electricity Forecast is calculated by dividing the total electricity demand of each hour by maximum supply capacity of the day.
Maximum supply capacity is the maximum generation output available during the day and it is not the electricity generated.
As electricity is generated according to the demand, it cannot be stored.
Supply capacity and generation capacity.
