TEPCO Renewable Power, Inc. (President: Seiichi Fubasami; hereinafter referred to as, “TEPCO Renewable Power”), which has inherited TEPCO Holdings, Inc.’s renewable energy business, commenced business today as an independent renewable energies company.
For many years, TEPCO Renewable Power has employed a consistent business model for hydropower and wind power generation facilities that covers everything from planning to construction and O&M*. Our technical prowess enables us to maintain hydropower/wind power/solar power facilities that can produce a total of approximately 10 million kW, making us the largest renewable energies operator in Japan. TEPCO Renewable Power views the current world trend towards decarbonization is a substantial business opportunity and shall promote the use of renewable energies as main power sources. TEPCO Renewable Power aims to develop a total of approximately six to seven million kW of power generation facilities within Japan and overseas by the first half of the 2030s while meeting the increasing demand of our customers for carbon-free power sources.
By leveraging nature’s blessings to the best of our ability and providing a stable supply of electricity at low-cost, TEPCO Renewable Power shall promote the use of renewable energies within Japan and overseas, and contribute to both the creation of a clean and sustainable carbon-free society, and the development of regional industry.
