On October 18, the Minister of Economic Revitalization, Yasutoshi Nishimura, visited the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.
The Minister was given a good look at decommissioning efforts underway from high ground on the west side of Units 1~4, where radiation reduction measures are being implemented. The Minister was also briefed on the characteristics of water treated with multi-nuclide removal equipment (ALPS).
During the tour, Minister Nishimura said, "There has been much change since I visited last."
TEPCO will continue to move steadily and safely forward with the long-term decommissioning process with the understanding and cooperation of society.
