On October 10, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Koichi Hagiuda's, visited the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station
The Minister was given a good look at decommissioning efforts underway from high ground on the west side of Units 1~4, where measures to lower radiation levels are underway, and tank areas. The minister was also briefed on the characteristics of ALPS water treated with multi-nuclide removal equipment (ALPS).
After the tour, Minister Hagiuda said "I hope you will continue with the good work."
We will continue to move steadily and safely forward with the long-term decommissioning process with the understanding and cooperation of society.
