Establishment of “TEPCO Group Human Rights Policy”

Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc. ("TEPCO") has established the “TEPCO Group Human Rights Policy” based on the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights* on August 6, 2021.

TEPCO has been practicing respect for human rights by placing importance on understanding human rights issues, preventing harassment, ensuring fair employment selection, etc.
In order for the TEPCO Group to win over the global competition and further enhance corporate value, we consider it essential to strengthen business base that takes into account international norms related to human rights.

With each one of TEPCO Group employees being aware of human rights at the basis of all business activities and thinking and taking action based on this Policy, TEPCO aims to become a corporate group that continues to be trusted and chosen by the society and customers.

*United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights* (“UNGPs”):Endorsed by the United Nations Human Rights Council in 2011. The purpose of UNGPs is to protect people at risk of serious damage from business activities through its incorporation into business practices.
