Kashiwazaki-Kariwa NPS Safety Measures
Overview
The Kashiwazaki-Kariwa NPS is a nuclear power station that straddles Kashiwazaki City and Kariwa Village in Niigata prefecture. The area of the site is some 4.2 million m² (Kashiwazaki: Approx. 3.1 million m², Kariwa: Approx. 1.1 million m²) The site is made up of seven power generating facilities with a total output of 8.212 million kW.
