Energy Consumption Outside of the Organization (Scope 3) <GRI 302-2, 305-3>

Energy consumed outside the organization (Scope 3) is as follows.

Due to the nature of our products, services, and business operations, there is no energy use in Category 8: Leased assets (upstream), Category 9: Transportation and distribution (downstream), Category 10: Processing of sold products, Category 12: End-of-life treatment of sold products, Category 13: Leased assets (downstream), Category 14: Franchises, and Category 15: Investments.

Scope 3 emissions are calculated in accordance with the following guidelines. We will continue working to improve calculation accuracy.

• Basic Guidelines for Calculating Greenhouse Gas Emissions Through the Supply Chain (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of the Environment)

Calculation Method by Category

Category 1:	Multiply the purchase amount for each item by the emission factor. Emissions associated with "resource extraction, production, and transportation" of gas for sale are calculated by multiplying the volume of gas sold by the emission factor.
Category 2:	Multiply the capital investment amount by the emission factor.
Category 3:	Sum of the following two values: A. Emissions associated with "resource extraction, production, and transportation" calculated by multiplying the amount of purchased electricity by the emission factor. B. Emissions from energy consumption outside our Group related to electricity sales calculated by multiplying the amount of purchased electricity by the emission factor. *  Greenhouse gas emissions from fuel combustion at TEPCO Power Grid, Inc.'s power generation facilities are excluded because they are included in Scope 1.
Category 4:	Multiply transport volume or transport cost by the emission factor based on FY2023 results.
Category 5:	Multiply emissions for each waste type by the emission factor for each treatment method.
Category 6:	Multiply the number of employees by the emission factor.
Category 7:	Multiply employee numbers and working days by emission factors based on work style and city classification of the workplace.
Category 11:	Multiply the volume of gas sold by the emission factor.

Emission factors, emissions, and electricity sales for TEPCO Energy Partner

• In accordance with the "Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures," CO₂ emission factors and emissions reflect adjustments for surplus non-fossil value allocation under the Feed-in Tariff scheme and the purchase of non-fossil certificates. Figures in parentheses represent values before these adjustments.
• CO₂ emissions represent the amount released from fuel combustion during electricity generation.
