Health and Well-being Management
Our Fundamental Approach
TEPCO Health Declaration
We believe that physical and mental well-being is one of the most important foundations for the happiness and fulfillment of every individual and their family.
To help employees lead fulfilling lives, we aim to create a vibrant, healthy workplace where they can work with purpose, motivation, and vitality—this is the essence of our "Health Management"
By doing so, we strive to enhance vitality and productivity, improve corporate performance and value, and fulfill our "responsibility to Fukushima".
Promotion and Governance Framework
Guided by the "TEPCO Health Declaration," dedicated health promotion staff, chief industrial physicians, and occupational health teams work together to advance health initiatives across the TEPCO Group.
To ensure thorough monitoring and management of each employee’s health, we staff health management offices with industrial physicians, occupational nurses, mental health specialists, and clinical psychologists.
Key Initiatives
Regular health checkups and stress assessments provide employees with opportunities to understand their physical and mental condition. Industrial physicians review health check results and, when necessary, provide tailored health guidance and consultations with occupational health professionals. These efforts help prevent illness, enable early detection, and reduce the risk of severe conditions.
We focus on three priority areas—lifestyle disease prevention, mental health support, and health literacy improvement—and actively implement initiatives in collaboration with the TEPCO Health Insurance Association.

Video Streaming on Health Management
We stream a series of internal videos aimed at promoting health management, covering topics such as weight loss through health guidance, chronic sleep deprivation, mental wellness, and quitting smoking.
To support a “new style of work” and contribute to employee health in flexible work arrangements, these videos are also accessible via smartphones.

Health Guidance Provided by Nursing Staff
Nurses in health management offices provide guidance to support health promotion, including the prevention of lifestyle-related diseases.
They explain test results and treatment options, and encourage follow-up or detailed examinations when necessary.
In addition to traditional face-to-face sessions, we are expanding remote consultations using ICT tools to improve convenience and strengthen support.

Mental Health Training and Seminars for Workplace Managers
We hold training sessions and seminars led by industrial physicians and specialists to help workplace managers prevent mental health issues and provide effective line care.

Streaming Videos for Mental and Physical Refreshment
We stream “Easy Refresh” videos featuring simple stretches and yoga poses.
These videos help alleviate lack of exercise and refresh both mind and body during remote work. Each video is under 60 seconds, making it easy to follow anytime.
Health Programs of the Health Insurance Association
In collaboration with the TEPCO Health Insurance Association, we promote health management through “Collabo Health,” an initiative designed to effectively advance wellness.
