Materiality Identification Process <GRI 3-1, GRI 3-3>

From the items listed in the GRI Standards 300 series (Environment), we identified through internal discussions those likely to have a significant impact on society due to the TEPCO Group’s business activities (1). We also selected items of high interest to key stakeholders—such as shareholders, customers, local communities, NGOs/NPOs, local governments, and regulatory authorities—as well as key topics within the electric power industry (2). Based on (1) and (2), we identified "302: Energy" and "305: Emissions to the Atmosphere" as material environmental topics for the TEPCO Group.
