Work Style Reform
Work Style Reform
The TEPCO Group regards its people as its most important asset. We are committed to creating a workplace where each individual can thrive by fully leveraging their unique strengths. Through the deepening and evolution of workstyles, we aim to foster growth for both our employees and the company. To this end, we are actively advancing workstyle reform.
Promotion and Governance Framework
To promote workstyle reform, the TEPCO Group has established the Work Style Innovation Committee, chaired by the President of TEPCO Holdings. This committee aims to foster a workplace environment where employees can maintain and enhance their motivation, and fully demonstrate their productivity.
Key Initiatives
Promoting TWI (TEPCO Work Innovation)
The TEPCO Group is promoting TEPCO Work Innovation (TWI) to realize new workstyles that support both physical and mental well-being, encourage employee autonomy, and foster co-creation. We are working to build an environment where employees can work comfortably “anytime, anywhere, and with anyone.” Our efforts integrate workstyle reform—such as the promotion of remote work and the introduction of internal systems to support it—with operational reform through Kaizen and digital transformation (DX).
To ensure accessibility for all employees, we have revised our remote work system and expanded available work locations, including home offices and satellite workspaces.
In addition, we continue to introduce flexible work arrangements, such as the removal of core hours from the flextime system.
Company-wide Early Leave Day & Premium Friday
The third Wednesday of each month is designated as a company-wide early leave day. Together with Premium Friday, we encourage employees to take time off and leave work early to create a more balanced lifestyle.
Implementation of the “IkuBoss” Declaration
To further advance diversity, the presidents of four group companies made the “IkuBoss” Declaration.
(Joined the IkuBoss Corporate Alliance in August 2017)
We continue initiatives such as hosting “IkuBoss” seminars for all employees.
Initiatives to Promote Understanding of Work–Care Balance Support
To prevent caregiving-related resignation, we created and distributed a guidebook introducing national and company programs, along with a casebook providing examples of program utilization, to deepen understanding among employees and workplaces.
We also conduct workplace study sessions using DVDs on work–care balance and, in collaboration with health insurance associations and other partners, continue to organize seminars and events to support employees.

Family Day
This event is held to promote work-life balance and strengthen family ties.
Families who support our employees were invited to the workplace, shared meals in the employee cafeteria, and enjoyed activities such as business card exchanges with employees’ children—creating a day full of smiles.
