Our Fundamental Approach

To achieve this, we combine off-the-job training (OFF-JT) with self-development programs in collaboration with workplaces, fostering talent capable of delivering value beyond customer expectations.
Promotion and Governance Framework
TEPCO Holdings provides training to enhance essential skills for all employees, while specialized training for specific job functions is conducted by each operating company and business site.
Key Initiatives
- Our human capital development approach integrates three pillars: “Work itself develops people (OJT),” “Training and exercises (OFF-JT),” and “Self-development,” ensuring effective growth opportunities.
- Grounded in the principle that “work itself develops people,” we emphasize on-the-job guidance while offering a comprehensive training system (OFF-JT) for all levels—from new hires to managers. These programs aim to develop professionals who can fulfill responsibilities to Fukushima, lead trusted organizations with passion and self-discipline, and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment. In FY2021, a total of 7,011 employees participated in these programs.
- We offer programs such as "Next-Generation Management Development", "Role-Based Training" tailored to age and rank, and "Kaizen Education and Productivity Enhancement" to drive TEPCO Group’s growth. In addition to strengthening individual capabilities, we provide workplace support to ensure these skills are effectively applied.
- For technical employees, we conduct specialized training to maintain and transfer technical expertise, complemented by group sessions and drills designed to strengthen disaster response capabilities.
- We also support individual growth through "Career Development Programs", "E-learning" and "Self-Improvement Initiatives" Opportunities to pursue graduate studies both in Japan and abroad.
