EV100

EV100 is a global initiative led by the non-profit organization The Climate Group, uniting companies committed to electrifying their fleets and expanding charging infrastructure.

EV30@30 is an international initiative under the Clean Energy Ministerial, aiming for electric vehicles—including buses and trucks—to represent at least 30% of new vehicle sales across participating countries by 2030. The TEPCO Group has joined these global initiatives and is committed to fully electrifying its business fleet and expanding charging infrastructure by 2030.

Advancing infrastructure development and accelerating EV adoption in Japan is essential—not only to reduce air and noise pollution from transportation, but also to achieve decarbonization in the transport sector, which accounts for approximately 20% of Japan’s CO2 emissions. As a leading energy company, we will collaborate with relevant organizations to promote EV deployment nationwide. Furthermore, TEPCO Group will accelerate electrification across diverse sectors and actively contribute to addressing ESG-related social challenges.

30 by 30 Alliance for Biodiversity

The 30 by 30 Alliance for Biodiversity is a voluntary coalition of industry, government, and private organizations—including Japan’s Ministry of the Environment—working toward the domestic achievement of the “30 by 30” goal: conserving 30% of land and sea by 2030. TEPCO Group supports the Alliance’s mission and, as part of our commitment to achieving 30 by 30, is strengthening management of protected areas such as Oze National Park and working toward registering its owned land in the international OECM*database.

  • OECM: Stands for Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures—areas conserved through private initiatives or where non-conservation-focused management nonetheless contributes to protecting nature.
