Driving the Future with Electric Vehicles
— TEPCO Group’s Initiatives to Accelerate EV Adoption —
Addressing climate change is an urgent global challenge, and vehicle electrification is key to achieving a carbon-neutral society. Furthermore, by leveraging EVs—including electric vehicles and PHEVs—as “mobile storage batteries,” we aim to build disaster-resilient communities.
In July 2021, TEPCO Group introduced a new management philosophy: “Pioneering the Future of Energy for a Safe and Comfortable Life.” Our vision centers on two pillars—carbon neutrality and disaster preparedness—with EVs as a key enabler.
TEPCO Group has long promoted EV adoption, including developing EV technologies and the CHAdeMO rapid-charging standard. Today, EVs continue to be positioned as a strategic priority across the TEPCO Group.
